吉隆坡总主教-廖炳坚，根据教会法 （Canon Law-1983），515 条文，于 22/1 宣布成立新的“领地堂区（territorial parish）”：

 

吉隆坡 Desa Jaya 基督之光堂（ Christ the Light, Desa Jaya, Kuala Lumpur），并且并入吉隆坡北区铎区。

 

新堂区 – 吉隆坡帝沙再也 基督之光堂 将于 2月2日，献主节（Presentation of The Lord）当天生效。Rev Fr Peter Anthoney 将成为本堂主任司铎。

其辖下将有两个小堂，即：
1. 士拉央 – 基督君王堂（Chapelof Christ Thr King, Selayang）
2. 双溪毛糯 – 路德圣母堂（Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes, Sungai Buloh）
